To get some pics of my good friend Laura’s pups, we decided to take a hike. These two Muppet-looking labradoodles have a lot of nicknames - Mumpkins, Monkee, Chunk Butt, Smellenstein, Duke, Baruchasaurus, Baruch Obama…but formally they are Clementine and Baruch.

Can you tell they got a good work-out? I’ve never seen such tongues!

I had a blast doing these portraits this morning! Mariah is a senior at McNeil high school and just turned 18. She wants to attend Gallaudet University, where she plans to study sign language or journalism. She was a total natural in front of the camera. It was really windy and muggy out, but she was not phased by it. I could tell you how gorgeous this girl is, but I’ll let the pictures do the talking:

You know you’re a Texan when you are driving down the highway with your niece and see one of the nicer patches of bluebonnets in an otherwise bad season. Without even thinking, you slam the breaks, whip onto the shoulder, set the confused child down in the middle of an interchange and start snapping away with your camera.

Poor Alivia was not a fan of this whole process. She was afraid to move around in the flowers and spent most of our little, impromptu shoot crying and reaching out, begging to be picked up. But she’s still adorable, as always.

Unfortunately (for me, I’m sure Ali is glad), she was not with me when I found this amazing field of blooms. I was truly in awe of the beauty.

He is a two year old Pit/Australian Shepherd mix…

…and just about the sweetest dog you would ever meet.

He has the softest head! I could snuggle him all day.

His parents, Mark and Ari, aren’t too bad either.

Ever since my cousin Ross introduced his then-girlfriend Hope to our extended family, she has blended right in. I was thrilled when they asked me to do an engagement shoot for them. While it had to be rescheduled due to illness and then moved from Austin to Houston, Hope’s bridal shower this weekend provided the perfect opportunity to get some photos of them with their little boy in their home town. They were so natural in front of the camera that it was really hard to pick just a few to show here. I hope you guys enjoy your sneak peak:

Aren’t her shoes to die for?

Breyden turned one in February and is a little man on the go! Though he didn’t want to sit still, he was an excellent sport.

I can’t wait for the wedding and for Hope to officially be a member of the family! Thanks guys, for letting me be part of your special day.
