I had the extreme pleasure of doing a post-wedding bridal shoot with the lovely Lauren last week. But, before I share just one little peek of our shoot, I chose a Tune for Tuesday that is only fitting. Lauren’s husband is part of the fabulous Grupo Fantasma whose Latin funk sound is guaranteed to get you on your feet or shaking your booty in your chair. Who couldn’t use that on a Tuesday afternoon?

To accentuate the old-world Spanish feel that Lauren wanted I had a little fun with texture on this one.

What awesome style she has! More to come…

I cannot get over how gorgeous little Shelby’s eyes are. They are that beautiful, sparkly blue that transforms from a silvery, rainy day to a vibrant, turquoise ocean as her surroundings change. I had a hard time editing these because there were so many from the session that I love and it was hard to convert any of them to black an white.

…and don’t even get me started on the lashes!

I made no adjustments to her eye color in any of these!

What a pleasure it will be to watch this little girl grow. I certainly hope I can get her in front of the camera again.

I am editing a sneak peak for a delicious little girl, whom I’ve known since before she was born. Ever since her mom told me that Caroline was a name they were considering for her, this song comes to mind whenever I think of her. It actually ended up being her middle name, but the song and little Shelby Caroline go hand-in-hand in my mind. Plus, I just love the song.

And, because I am not that cruel. Here is just one pic from the session. More to come very soon.

For some reason I have vivid memories of seeing ads for the movie version of Neil Simon’s Lost in Yonkers at Padre Staples Mall in Corpus Christi when I was a child and that is what comes to mind whenever I hear of the town. Albert drove 29 hours straight from Yonkers to spend some time in Texas. He went to the missions in San Antonio, a southern wedding in Houston and hit the ever popular South Congress in Austin with me. He is a man of many talents - singer, actor, model, teacher - and was so at ease in front of the camera. I just love these kind of shoots where my clients are up for anything.

Sun flare is something I love to capture when the light is just right. It happened to be perfect in this alley and with a warm edit to the picture it has a nice glowing effect.

I have had a crazy couple of weeks and have been out of town for a good portion of the time, so I’ll be playing catchup for a couple of days.

Little A, here, was only six days old when I took these shots of her. She was such a perfect baby the whole time. In fact, from the day she was born to her newborn shoot, to the visit I had with her a week later, I have hardly heard her make a peep. She makes having a newborn look easy…though I bet her mom and dad would beg to differ.

What a perfect family they now have! Congrats again, G Family.

I’m not huge into Michael Jackson, but I’ve definitely been known to sing along to ‘Will You Be There’ or do my best zombie impression when I hear ’Thriller.’ I figure since today is his memorial and it is undeniable that the world has lost an incomprable music and pop culture figure, it is only fitting that he be today’s Tuesday Tunes.

By far my favorite MJ era is Motown and The Jackson 5. I remember the first time I heard ‘I’ll Be There’ on the now defunct Oldies 103 while on the way to school with my mom. This is definitely how I prefer to remember him.

But on to the thing that 24 people are really looking for. A few moments ago, I put the numbers into the fabulous Random.org random number generator:
