I am a photographer based near Austin, Texas and offering Wedding and Dynamic Portrait photography throughout Central Texas and Worldwide. My name is Elyse and I’m never happier than when I’m laying on my belly or precariously perched on a feeble structure in the name of getting the perfect angle on a shot. Taking pictures has been a hobby since I got my first camera for Christmas when I was 5. I’ve considered myself a student of photography since I became a staff photographer for my award-winning high school yearbook and newspaper. It was then that I got my first film SLR camera and learned the techniques used to take control of the images I create. Since then, my love for making personal photographic works of art has grown with each day and every shoot I complete. It is my great joy to share this with my clients.

Besides being a photographer, I am a Christian, an ecstatic newlywed, mom to a dog (Keller) and cat (Maire), daughter of the most supportive parents in the world, a younger sister and aunt to a little girl who fills my heart with joy each and every day. All of these people will periodically make appearances on my blog as I share my work and my life with you. I’m also a life-long city girl, currently living in the country and facing the unique joys and challenges that come with that. I love to cook, listen to old music, watch movies, dance around the living room, sing too loud in the car and come up with the weirdest things I can think of to say, in order to simultaneously amuse and worry my husband.

I specialize in Wedding Photography, including engagement and bridal shoots, and Dynamic Portrait Sessions. I believe that a wedding is one of the most amazing experiences any person has the privilege to partake in and I am humbled and honored to be charged with preserving that day for my clients. I have a section dedicated to describing Dynamic Portraiture and encourage you to check it out. I shoot in an artistic, photo-journalistic style, meaning that it is always my goal to remain unobtrusive and capture your great moments as they naturally occur, from a vantage that makes them even more beautiful. I’ll also direct a few shots throughout our time together, in order to achieve images that compliment your candid gallery while offering the most flattering angles and light.
