Michael and Brenda are a fabulously low-key couple and their wedding was a perfect reflection of them: relaxed and fun with personal touches everywhere. The weather for their Friday afternoon garden ceremony could not have been more beautiful and everything came together perfectly. Here is a bit of the story of their day:

They rented a cute little B&B in Travis Heights for the wedding night, which is where Brenda also got ready.

Almost universally, my favorite wedding pictures are the father-daughter ones.

Their friends, Jenifer Jackson and Dickie Lee Erwin, provided music and Dickie performed the ceremony.

Michael bedazzled his Converse shoes himself…

…and also baked the wedding cake! It was amazing and introduced me to the wonderful world of Swiss meringue buttercream icing. Less than 24 hours later, I’d found a recipe for it and used it on cupcakes for my dad’s birthday. The pasta bar was also probably my favorite wedding food to date.

After some dancing and a quick swipe of the mop to erase the evidence of an unauthorized bubble machine, the newlyweds were ready to embark on the rest of their lives together and I was exhausted and impatient to get started processing the pictures.
